Pell Software partnered with Stratix Labs to design and develop a comprehensive, custom-built management portal for their specialized environmental test kits. This centralized platform streamlines the end-to-end testing workflow, from lot management and technician assignments to co-branded laboratory reporting and secure digital certificate distribution.
The Challenge
Stratix Labs, a leader in surface disinfection and environmental monitoring technology, required a more sophisticated and scalable way to manage their “Enverify” test kit ecosystem. The client faced the challenge of managing a complex, multi-stakeholder workflow involving internal administrators, third-party test labs, and field technicians. Their existing processes needed a digital transformation to handle precise “Lot Management” data—such as average CFU counts and standard deviations—while ensuring that technicians could easily report field results without accessing sensitive laboratory data. Furthermore, the lack of a centralized system made it difficult to generate professional, co-branded reports and maintain a secure, verifiable chain of custody for environmental samples.
The Solution
Pell Software architected a robust, multi-role web portal designed to harmonize the interactions between admins, labs, and technicians. Our team focused on a user-centric design that utilizes conditional logic to simplify data entry; for instance, technicians are presented with a streamlined interface for sampling information, while “Test Labs” are provided with advanced fields for incubation data and final CFU sample results.
A critical component of our solution was the “Test Result” engine, which automatically generates unique IDs and populates sampling site information to reduce manual entry errors. We also implemented a custom “Co-Branding” feature, allowing the system to dynamically pull brand images from specific labs to generate professional, high-fidelity PDF reports and certificates. Throughout the development, we prioritized security and transparency, delivering a full suite of technical documentation and ensuring the client maintained complete ownership of the source code and database schemas.
The Outcome
The implementation of the Test Kit Management Portal has revolutionized Stratix Labs’ operational efficiency and market position. By automating the generation of co-branded reports and providing a secure portal for result downloads, Stratix has significantly reduced the administrative overhead previously required to deliver value to their clients. The introduction of the “Technician Manager” role and advanced filtering, such as the “Ready for Lab Input” status, has provided the client with unprecedented visibility into their field operations, allowing them to scale their business without a proportional increase in management staff.
